Biography

My journey

Osteopathy is a manual medicine addressing functional disorders, considering the body as a whole.

My name is Sebastian Byrde. I opened my osteopathy practice in Morges in October 2000, after graduating from the Swiss School of Osteopathy in Belmont-sur-Lausanne in 1999. In June 2011, I obtained the CDS certification (Swiss Conference of Cantonal Health Directors), the profession's federal recognition, and I have been authorized to practice in the canton of Vaud since August 2004.

A member of the Swiss Register of Osteopaths from 1999 to 2005, I have been a member of the Swiss Federation of Osteopaths (FSO-SVO) since 2005. I chaired the Vaud Society of Osteopathy from 2005 to 2010, and was later elected president of the Swiss Federation of Osteopaths, a role I have held since 2012. I also take part in the FSO's quality circle dedicated to newborns and children.

In 2025, I completed a CAS in “Osteopathy and the First 1000 Days” at HES-SO Fribourg, a specialization that deepens my practice with infants and pregnant women. My second practice, in Épalinges, allows me to support a wider patient base across the Lausanne region.

My practice remains grounded in listening, dialogue with each patient, and a safe, up-to-date approach to osteopathic science.
